On September 25th, the kick-off meeting for the IENA (“Installed Engine Noise Attenuation”) project was held via video link and representatives from project members including Federal University of Santa Catarina (Brazil), Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute named after Professor N.E.Zhukovsky (Russia) and CAE Aerodynamics Research Institute (China) attended the event.
IENA is a cooperation project co-funded by national funding agencies from Brazil, Russia and China under BRICS STI Framework Programme aimed at developing measurement techniques for installed engine noise, investigating the installation effect on engine noise and developing recommendations for installed engine noise attenuation.
Following the meeting agenda agreed, each party introduced their project teams, research capabilities, project arrangements and progress since the project approval. Topics including meeting arrangements, division of tasks, technical solutions, document sharing and project management were then discussed.
The meeting helps project members get to know each other better, agree on how to work together effectively and gain confidence in conducting the research work with high quality.
